  I say Amen to the following quote from Cedars’ letter about the JW Elder who shared the October 1, 2012 BOE letter:

  ‘This letter, which must have been leaked by a conscientious elder, proves that there is a growing movement of unsettled elders who know there is something deeply wrong about the organization, and are starting to find the courage to do something about it.

  I salute the honesty, bravery and conscientiousness of whichever elder forwarded this letter to my colleagues for our analysis and distribution to others. Whoever did this has real courage and is to be greatly admired for putting the needs of Witness children first above everything else.’

  What Made You Question "The Truth"?

  in the the early 1970's, i used to enjoy going to assemblies, conventions and hear special talks given by bethel heavies.. in those days, we were believers and we applied ourselves as "ministers" with pride.. once the "end" was obviously not within our "generation", many of us started losing interest.. we started to think more critically.

  it took a long time but once you start recognizing the bullsh*t, it's hard to stay in and truly believe at the same time.. .

  There are many goofy things that made me question ‘The Truth’. For example, its’ OK to have a piñata but not OK to toast. Both have pagan origins. Something sounded fishy! A number of other beliefs and doctrines turned out to be goofy too.

  The rest is history.

  why was there no official arrangement before 1952 to disfellowship people?

  was there a different procedure with a different name?

  was no one committing disfellowshipping offenses?

  What has brought more reproach on the Almighty God over the years? The hell fire teaching, the trinity doctrine, the celebration of birthdays and holidays, the saluting of the flag or the WT’s false religious teaching of disfellowshipping?

  Its’ a no-brainer for many; WT’s disfellowshipping policy is high on the list due to the nature of its' unkind act as well as the pain and suffering it causes!

  Forthcoming Kingdom Ministry School schedule and references

  i'm taking a break from jwn at the moment, but i thought i'd briefly jump back on to post some information that has been sent to me.. many of you will be aware that the governing body has somewhat hastily arranged another "kingdom ministry" school for the elders, and there has already been a degree of speculation on the forum as to what matters will be addressed at this meeting.. a friend has very kindly sent me the text of a letter to bodies of elders in britain which includes the meeting schedule as well as the reference material that elders are asked to bring along and "meditate" on beforehand.. here is the letter:.

  It would really be a hoot if we could get a quality audio recording of the up and coming Elders Ministerial School starting in November which runs thru January 2013. We all know of ‘someone’ on this board who can recommend a good device to use and what device to avoid using.

  It would be like walking in on-not only the GB with their pants down but the entire WT body of elders exposing themselves as well.

  No need to identify yourself right now…..just get the job done and you definitely will be love bombed on this board!
